Beacon Pharmaceuticals limited and their Sri Lanka partner, Emerchemie has organized a seminar on targeted cancer Therapy at Hotel Cinnamon Lake Colombo. Dr. Foo Sr. consultant oncology Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Singapore was the key note speaker in the seminar. Dr. Foo has expressed his satisfaction of clinical success by using erlotinib in lung cancer, sunitinib in renal cell cancer. He also added that these targeted therapies have lesser side effects than chemo-therapies. Eminent oncologists of Sri Lanka attended the seminar.
